THEO ELWELL

Theo Elwell is a composer and orchestrator for screen, and an award-winning instrumentalist. He has orchestrated for a wide range of projects, including the Ivor-nominated score for 'Three Little Birds', recorded at RAK and Abbey Road's Angel Studios.

His current projects include the score for a flagship TV series for Warner Bros, an upcoming narrative film by Oscar®-winning Slick Films and a number of indie productions between London, New York and LA.

Other recent highlights include the critically acclaimed BBC series 'The Holy Land & Us', Lenny Henry's 'Three Little Birds' for ITV and a 'The Speech' for Disney.

By combining his strong classical background with advanced electronic techniques, Theo specialises in creating immersive sound-worlds unique to each project. As a composer, his work has been screened live at Prince Charles Cinema (Leicester Sq) and the Institute of Contemporary Art, while his performances include the Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Westminster Abbey.

Theo began his training as a chorister and violinist, touring internationally from a young age, before going on to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied Violin and Composition with a double scholarship. He is fortunate to play on a Austrian Neuner & Horsteiner Violin (circa. 1879).
